Tower Rescue Training

Course Description

Course Aim:

To provide delegates with the knowledge and practical skills which will enable them to rescue a fellow climber from a tower, mast or pylon.

Objectives:

Tower Rescue Training is specifically aimed at delegates who work in the transmission and distribution industry. This course provides the delegate with the skills and techniques necessary to safely remove a casualty from a height to ground by working through a variety of scenarios.

• Legislation when working at height and rescue procedures;
• Inspection and use of Personal Protective Equipment;
• Self-rescue;
• Tower rescue kits;
• Temporary fall arrest systems, rescue from lanyard and casualty care;
• Hazards when climbing and related emergency procedures.

Course information:

The course will consist of classroom-based and practical tower tuition. Delegates will climb a transmission pylon in Izumi’s specially-designed training area. Emphasis will be placed on safety and rescue procedures under the supervision of a qualified instructor.

Delegates are continually assessed throughout the course.

This course is certified by CPD.

The course is given over 1 day.

Individual training or group (maximum 6 delegates).

Training takes place at Izumi Products UK Ltd, unit 4B Hatfield Way, South Church Enterprise Park Bishop Auckland DL14 6XF.

Cost: £165.00 per person or £990.00 for a group
